If you want to put all of the partitions for your filesystem in one physical
volume, then the command that Bruce mentioned regarding the boot volume will
suit your purpose:
         migratepv -l <logical volume name> <source pv> <target pv>

This will migrate only those partitions belonging to your filesystem.

      migratepv hdiskX hdiskY

Where hdiskX is the PV you want to evacuate and hdiskY is the hdisk to
receive the Phys Partitions from hdiskX

hdiskX Must not contain the boot logical volume. If it does use:
      migratepv -l <bootlogical volume> hdiskY
   then
      bosboot -d hdiskY -a -M Norm
      migratepv hdiskX hdiskY

   then do

      reorgvg hdiskY

to re-organize the layout of physical partitions on the physical disk for
the most efficient access.

You might also need to modify your bootlist. How to do this varies
according to your hardware.

Subject: [AIX-L] Filesystem divided over two physical volumes

I have created a new filesystem on rootvg (rootvg has two physical volumes),
which I want to mirror. However, the filesystem is divided over the two
physical volumes.

There are enough free partitions to have the filesystem on one physical
volume. How can I remove the split of the filesystem, so it resides on only
one physical volume????

Kind regards,
