The "top" program is an executable that is freely available.
Unless you're 'adb' or 'dbx' savvy,  I suggest you download
the 'monitor' program from www-frec.bull.com, which does ex-
actly what 'top' does.  On this website, all programs are al-
ready in bff format for installp.  Hope this helps.

I guess that "top" is a script (C or shell script) because it is not an AIX
command. If this is true that means you have a problem in the script coding
that is causing it to coredump.

When i try to use the command "top", i get the message :
"Memory default (coredumped)".
