We are running WebSphere Application Server 2.0.3 Advanced Edition and IBM
HTTPServer 1.3.3 (Apache) on an RS/6000 running AIX 4.3.2. We would like to run
two independent webservers -- because we want to stop one server without
bringing the other one down (which means "virtual hosts" are not an option). I
am running one network adapter with an IP address and an aliased IP address. I
called IBM Support, they said that it is possible to do this, but they don't
support it and thus can't tell me how to do it. I was wondering if anyone has
tried to do something similar and can give me some ideas? I was thinking about
trying to reinstall the HTTPServer and WebSphere to different directories to see
if that might do it, but I would rather not have redundant programs on my server
if I can at all help it (not that it takes up that much space -- it is just the
principle of the thing, I guess).

TIA,

Ed
