Sounds like you have more than one machine on your network set to the same
IP address. Shut down the one machine you know about and try to ping
again. If you still get a response, that is your problem.

 Subject: DUP on ping

Hello,
I have encountered this kind of problem;
# ping 195.100.100.1
PING 195.100.100.1 (195.100.100.1): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 195.100.100.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=2.0 ms
64 bytes from 195.100.100.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=1.2 ms (DUP!)
64 bytes from 195.100.100.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=255 time=1.2 ms
Why is there a "(DUP!)"?
Any ideas / comments / suggestions??
