I compiled on AIX 4.2.0 and I'm trying to run the binary on an AIX 4.1.4
system.  I should be able to do that shouldn't I?

No.  An AIX 4.2 binary is a little bit different.  4.1 binaries will often
work on the 4.2 though.  Not always, but often from what I've seen.
