Greetings,

I have an application that sends out a large number of emails every day at 3:00pm.
I want to provide feedback on that process to the analyst for the application so I \
parse the /var/spool/mqueue/log file where the sender matches the userid. I found \
the current log file didn't reveal the information I was looking for until I ran the \
/usr/lib/smdemon.cleanu script to rotate the logs. Then the old log would show the \
current information.
Does that make sense?

I'm no sendmail expert so what I did was run that smdemon.cleanu script at the end of \
that day in order to keep the logs on a day by day basis but that means I don't \
report back until much later in the day (actually the next morning). My thought is \
I'll run the smdemon script at 3:30 also to get the activity generated at 3:00pm \
captured and sent off in a more timely manner and then I'll have 2 logs per day.
Makes sense?

Mark
