You should only need to use pax to get the dump off of the tape and on
to the system. You then use 'crash' to read the dump, and find out what
caused the 207.

What messages are you getting from pax, when you tried to read the dump tape?

If you are getting I/O errors, you might have block size issue, since when
you are in dumpcopy mode, it uses the default block size for the device, and
it may have been changed.
