Currently I'm running HACMP 4.3.1 on a pair of R30 stars ( R30 with the R40
upgrade ) with 2 GB of memory and 8 CPU's @ 112 MHz in a mutual-takeover
configuration.

One server runs various applications, the other server runs Sybase 11.9.2
with 2 engines. 1 engine is configured for 3 cpus, the 2nd engine for 2.

The above HACMP cluster is being migrated to the following: A pair of IBM
pSeries 660 7026-6M1 with two 750 MHz CPU's to start ( can go up to 8
CPU's ), 4 GB of Memory running HACMP 4.4.1.

I just found out that a couple of projects would like to add Oracle 8.1.7
to the database server, 3 instances of oracle at that.

I was wondering if anyone has any experiece/comments/suggestions with:

1) HACMP with Oracle 8.1.7

2) HACMP with Oracle 8.1.7 AND Sybase 11.9.2/12.5

3) Oracle 8.1.7 AND Sybase 11.9.2/12.5 If Sybase AND Oracle can run on
the same server, will the above 6M1 configuration be adequate or would I
want/need to add memory/CPU's

Thanks
