Hello everyone,

I currently have an Intel SE7501WV2 (with AIC-7902) and a 39320D-R running
on RedHat Linux 9 (stock kernel 2.4.20-19smp, stock drivers)

I'm attaching 5 Ultra320 73.4 GB + 1 Ultra160 36GB, and all are seagate
(10Krpm) disks and attached in one chain. The first problem is when i
copy data from the Ultra160 disk onto one of teh ultra360 disks. I seem
to be getting a lot of the following errors:

Aug 17 15:04:26 bureau18 kernel: SCSI disk error : host 1 channel 0 id 9
lun 0 return code = 8000002
Aug 17 15:04:26 bureau18 kernel: Info fld=0x1841ef, Current sd08:51: sense

unit CRC error detected
Aug 17 15:04:26 bureau18 kernel: I/O error: dev 08:51, sector 1589680

I've also got quite a bit of these of varying nature too:

Could someone please provide some suggestions on what's wrong and how I
can go about fixing it?

I've got another machine with the updated driver from Justin Gibbs -- but
during boot, i still see

bureau18 kernel: scsi1 : Adaptec AIC79XX PCI-X SCSI HBA DRIVER, Rev 1.0.0

Should I do an rpm -ivh or a rpm -Uvh to install the driver?

Thank you very much,
/dky
