FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

UNH-IOL Qualifies Home Gateway Vendors for World IPv6 Launch

Deadline for IPv6 CE Test Event Registration is April 9, 2012

Durham, N.H., March 19, 2012 - The <http://www.iol.unh.edu/> University of
New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL), an independent provider
of broad-based testing and standards conformance services for the networking
industry, today announced the lab will provide home system integrators an
opportunity to test the interoperability of their IPv6 implementations and
satisfy the requirements for participation in World IPv6 Launch, during the
fourth IPv6 CE (Home Router) Test Event, April 16 - April 20, 2012, at the
UNH-IOL. The deadline for companies to register for the test event is April
9, 2012. Additional information about registration and participation fees,
logistics, a formal test plan and equipment shipping instructions can be
found at:
<http://www.iol.unh.edu/services/testing/ipv6/grouptest/april_16_2012/>
http://www.iol.unh.edu/services/testing/ipv6/grouptest/april_16_2012/

Under the theme, "The Future is Forever," World IPv6 Launch will mark the
largest industry commitment to and deployment of IPv6 in the history of the
Internet. Major Internet service providers (ISPs), home networking
equipment manufacturers, and web companies around the world are coming
together to permanently enable IPv6 for their products and services by June
6, 2012. Organized by the <http://www.internetsociety.org/> Internet
Society (ISOC), and building on the successful one-day World IPv6 Day event
held on June 8, 2011, World IPv6 Launch represents a major milestone in the
global deployment of IPv6. As the successor to the current Internet
Protocol, IPv4, IPv6 is critical to the Internet's continued growth as a
platform for innovation and economic development.

"The amazing breadth of interest and participation in World IPv6 Launch
underscores just how important IPv6 has become, and IPv6-supporting home
routing equipment is essential to realize companies' future plans for
connecting customers and users," commented Leslie Daigle, the Internet
Society's Chief Internet Technology Officer. "We are extremely pleased to
be working with the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory
to help users identify home routers that are IPv6 ready for this launch."

The UNH-IOL will verify IPv6 functionality for home gateway equipment for
World IPv6 Launch. To be added to the World IPv6 Launch list of
participating home gateway vendors, companies will need to enable IPv6 'on
by default' through their range of home router products and will need to
have a product that has completed the
<http://www.ipv6ready.org/docs/CE_Router_Interoperability_Latest.pdf> IPv6
Ready CE Router (CPE) Interoperability Test Scenario (PDF) at the UNH-IOL.
When a company's device appears on the
<http://www.iol.unh.edu/services/testing/ipv6/cerouter.php> UNH-IOL CE
Router Tested List, in the table that indicates the device performed all the
test cases, the company should complete the
<http://www.worldipv6launch.org/form/?q=3> Registration Form for Home
Gateway Routers. ISOC will then add the company to the list of home gateway
vendors participating in World IPv6 Launch.

"IPv6 is now hitting everyone's last mile," said Latif Ladid, president,
IPv6 Forum. "Check out what it can do for you!"

In addition to participating in the initiatives of leading industry
organizations such as ISOC, the UNH-IOL maintains ongoing relationships with
industry forums to help make full IPv6 adoption a reality. Highly involved
in the IPv6 Forum's IPv6 Ready Logo Program as the North American regional
officer and a technical contributor, the UNH-IOL offers accredited testing
for the IPv6 Ready Logo Program. The UNH-IOL is currently working in
conjunction with the

<http://www.ipv6ready.org/?page=public-review-cpe> IPv6 CPE Logo Program,
which will be available in November 2012 and will require both conformance
and interoperability test results. The program, designed to
cost-effectively accelerate adoption of IPv6 in the broadband industry, will
provide manufacturers and operators with a common set of testing
requirements for deployment and indicate via the IPv6 CPE Logo which
products have met the basic requirements of IPv6 functionality.
