... So the Redmond guys decided its time to embrace open source much more
and have recently released PowerShell for Linux and Mac.

At first it was Visual Studio Code <https://code.visualstudio.com> ....
then PowerShell
<https://github.com/PowerShell/PowerShell/tree/master/docs/learning-powershell>

Some quite interesting video demos in the blogpost link below ..

https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/powershell-is-open-sourced-and-is-available-on-linux/
- A section on cron jobs with some PSscripts that takes away the cryptic
syntax ... as well as managing containers ....

*So what are they up to?* They seem to be shiftng away from their gui
themes to well structured object oriented CLI utilities backed by
interesting REST APIs.

At least for now the choice for devops to operate from any platform of
their choice (I believe bash is also available on windows now) with respect
to scripting broadens.

cheers

K
