I don't know if you resolved this, but here is what we've found with the apr_pools \
problem:

There is a race condition in

decaf/lang/System.cpp:

AprPool& System::getAprPool() {
    static AprPool aprPool;
    return aprPool;
}

the static AprPool is being created twice, if two threads call this function at the \
same time.
