Although Zapf Dingbats (specifically ITC Zapf Dingbats) is probably
the most commonly expected by Windows and Mac users (being embedded in
Adobe PDF), it not "libre" and so not a good choice.

Please note that the issue of Zapf Dingbat > Dingbat substitution is
not uncommon in FOSS, specifically in PDF handling tools like Poppler,
where they make some specific recommendations.
